Description
Summary:Total quality management (TQM) concepts are paramount importance for every industry in the pursuit of competitiveness in the global market. However, based on previous TQM literature reported that ambiguous or mixed relationship between TQM and business performance lead to inconsistent results. Furthermore, there lack of study of Total preventive maintenance (TPM) as mediator in previous works. Therefore, it is important to obtain successful TQM paradigm. TPM acted as a prominent paradigm to improve the manufacturing performance to gain further competitive advantage. Hence, the purpose of this study is to propose research and conceptual framework model of TQM practices in relation to business performance with mediator effect of TPM. The developed model for further study will be tested and validate by collecting primary data. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach will be used for hypotheses testing and determine the relationship of mediators effect in TQM practices and business performance.
