Summary:The Communications Content and Infrastructure (CCI) National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) enlisted nurturing Malaysia's creative content as the first Entry Point Projects (EPP) inferring that it is crucial for the academia to develop prospective human capitals towards the creation of creative content. Minimal research has been investigated on nurturing students' behavioural intention and actual usage of creative animation using design thinking as the digital social innovation agent to foster creativity at tertiary level within Malaysia context, particularly from the aspects like performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions. Future education highlight the needs of issueing creativity as the content knowledge towards imagineering the creative animation as the rich content curricular to promote digital social innovation. Students are the potential digital social innovators. Hence, this research aims to develop animation projects that foster students' creativity by applying the design thinking process as the digital social innovation agent to foster creativity within the formal learning setting at tertiary level.
