Summary:Organizational commitment and job satisfaction are two important concepts related to employee’s commitment in their job. The aim of this paper was to analyze the concept of organizational commitment and job satisfaction from the Islamic perspective. The definitions, dimensions and importance of organizational commitment and job satisfaction in organization from Western perspective were discussed based on al-Quran and hadith which have been considered as the two highest authorities in Islam. The findings showed that there were many similarities between Western and Islamic perspectives in discussing the organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Furthermore, it facilitated the understanding of organizational commitment and job satisfaction which can lead towards the improvement of human resources management especially in Islamic organizations.
