Summary:The purpose of this study is to investigate which type of leadership characteristics advocated in Langford’s Leadership Big 5 Model can enhance Gen Z work performance. In addition, this study seeks to develop current knowledge on effective leadership characteristics to manage Generation Z. This study also endeavours to examine the mediating effect of structural empowerment in managing Generation Z and identify the appropriate leadership characteristics to enhance the contextual performance of generation Z workforce.
