Summary:The purpose of this dissertation is to study the maintenance planning and procedure for roof stadium in Malaysia. This dissertation is meant to identify the types of maintenance planning and procedure that currently used for roof of stadium. Besides, it is subjected to identify the common defects problem occurred on the stadium roof and to suggest the proper maintenance planning and procedure in order to minimise the defects and the effectiveness of implementation of the roof stadium. The distribution of the questionnaires and semi interview were conducted to the respondents at the three case studies to collect the data and being analyzed to get the primary data as method of the research. The secondary data has been collected and gathered from the journals, articles, documents or handouts and internet sources. Based on the result, the breakdowns maintenance planning was found of the currently types of maintenance plan used and the flashing failure as the main common defect occurred on the roof stadium at the three case studies. Based, also on the result, the preventive maintenance planning had been recommended as the proper and suitable for maintenance type for roof stadium. The selecting of the proper and good maintenance planning and procedure that should be applied for the roof stadium is very important which it is subjected to prevent the building elements from failure and to ensure the building structure in good condition and safe during operation and functioning as designed.
