It is important to acknowledge different students’ personalities to design a more effective teaching method as a way to improve academic performance. The objectives of this paper are to 1) identify the characteristics of different personalities and their preferred learning preferences using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI); 2) identify the most common combination of personality types among Pre-University students; 3) determine a more effective teaching approach based upon student personality types and learning preferences.
