A BINARY MIXTURE OF BIO-BASED SURFACTANT AND IONIC LIQUID SURFACTANT AS ‘GREEN’ DISPERSANT FOR OIL SPILL REMEDIATION
Dispersants are commonly employed in oil spill remediation to emulsify the hydrocarbon layer into smaller droplets for higher rate of degradation. However, conventional dispersants, such as Corexit, have been criticized for their toxic nature and high persistence in water.
