Summary:Performance appraisal (PA) in a university is identified as a process to measure and develop the performance of its staff members. It is assessed through an individual’s or a team’s work process and achievements with the purpose to evaluate skills, achievements, growth, strengths and weaknesses to offer constructive feedback for the improvement. However, the traditional paper-and-pencil (P&P) approach which is typically used in conducting the whole process faces issues such as difficulty, inconsistency and less secure in achieving data.
