Summary: | The objective of this research is to identify the level of awareness towards the consumer's right and the factors that influence the level of awareness towards the consumer's right. This research will also determine
whether attitude of consumers, effort of government and education system have the relationship with the level of awareness towards the consumer's right or not. While, this research will also determine the variables such as attitude
of consumers, effort of government and education system that having the strongest influence to the level of awareness towards the consumer's right. The sample of research consisted of 266 full time student that was
chosen randomly from Graduate School in Northern University of Malaysia based on the student's field of programme. The data are collected by using the
questionnaire and analyzed by using frequency distribution, percentages, score mean, standard deviation, pearson correlation test and regression analysis. The
finding of research shows that most of the respondent are moderately conscious towards the consumer's right such as right to have basic necessity, right to have security, right to get information, right of choosing, right to voice
out, right to have compensation and the right to have the healthy & safety environment. Besides, attitude of consulmer has significant relationship (positive but weak) with the level of awareness towards consumer's right.
While, effort of government also have significant relationship (positive but weak) with the level of awareness towards consumer's right. However, education system does not have significant relationship with the level of awareness towards consumer's right. According to the finding of research, attitude of consumers is the strongest fiictor that influences the level of awareness towards consumer's right. Furthermore, effort of government is the secondary factor that influences the level of awareness towards the consumer's right. While, education system is the factor that has the least
influence to the level of awareness towards the consumer's right compared to attitude of consumers and effort of government. |
