Hence, this study aims to investigate the mediating eect of nurses’ psychological empowerment on the relationship between the leader-member exchange and organisational citizenship behaviour. This study was a quantitative study which used questionnaires to gather the data and 539 nurses had participated. The data was analysed using Structural Equation Modelling. The results found that psychological empowerment is a signicant mediator between leader-member exchange and organisational citizenship behaviour. This study makes theoretical contributions by providing information concerning the Social Exchange Theory and its application to nursing practitioners.
