Summary:This article aims to discuss the extrinsic factors that motivate the excellence of Excellent Islamic Education Teachers (EIET) through a case study. This study was conducted by interviews among the EIET, their colleagues, school principal and students at eight different secondary schools in Malaysia. All of the interviewed and observed data were processed, analyzed and organized using the N’Vivo Version 7.0 to develop theme and matrix table with regards to the extrinsic factors influencing the excellence of EIET. The study reveals that students and learning environment has been the major factors in encouraging the EIET success.
