Emotional intelligence was measured by the Wong & Law Emotional Intelligence Scale, while job performance was assessed by the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire. Data of this study were gathered from 103 employees or to be exact the operators who rated their emotional intelligence and job performance. The findings show that the level of emotional intelligence and job performance was found to be high. The result from the structural equation modelling analysis reveals that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance among the operators. The significance explains that having good emotional control at work can help operators do their tasks more effectively. On top of that, offering training programs that are designed to help employees manage their emotions at work effectively is one recommendation provided for the organization to their operators. As for future researchers, it is suggested that the researchers can employ a mixed-method approach by integrating qualitative and quantitative methods when collecting data.
