Description
Summary:This research conducts a study on the impacts of co-firing a lower rank sub-bituminous coal with pelletized 0% calcium hydroxide content EFB, 2% calcium hydroxide content of EFB, 4% calcium hydroxide content of EFB and 6% calcium hydroxide content of EFB. This research focuses on identifying the combustion behaviour and studying ash deposition tendency to cause slagging and fouling. This research is conducted at a pulverized 150 kWTH combustor test rig owned by TNBR. The thesis includes details on the sample preparation and fuel blending methods. Data includes the flame behaviour physical observation, temperature profiles of each combustion and physical observation of ash deposits. Further discussion of the results obtained are also included.
