Summary:Stress affects each and every one of us in our daily lives. Be it adults or children, stress is there in our workplace and school and if not managed properly, can consume us and have a negative impact to our lives. For this project, stress of young adults and children in their studies were looked at to improve their grades and help them better understand the subject matter that they are studying. This project showcases the design and development of an educational board game that would help students to manage their stress and learn in a calm and collected manner. This is done by using Neuro Linguistics Programming (NLP) and Quality Function Development procedure (QFD) to find out the needs and lacking of the customer via a survey and then finding out the engineering requirements through the House of Quality to create the most effective educational board game. The board game that was design was meticulously designed through a 3D software and then underwent stress analysis to prove that it was safe and strong with a FOS of 2.25. It was then 3D printed to specification and put to use. Through this board game, it is found that the children could answer the mathematical questions quicker and able to memorize the multiplication table quicker and with relative ease with a mean time of 65 seconds to a time of around 45 seconds. Meanwhile, the adults was able to understand the engineering question given to them easier and complete it within a shorter time frame with an average time from 5 minutes being reduced to 2.5 minutes. Thus, proving that the educational board game is a success in helping students in their education to help improve their understanding and achieve better grades in school while keeping their stress levels on the low.
