Throughout human history, people have lived in harmony with nature, using resources in a way that allowed them to meet their needs without compromising the ability of future generations to do the same. Indigenous communities around the world have practised sustainable living for centuries, recognising the interconnectedness of all living things and the need to protect the environment for future generations.
