Computer science T Technology (General) In general, most of the public places especially in developed countries such as restaurant, bank, clinic, industry, storeroom, or library, have no enough manpower to carry out routine tasks such as passing or moving objects. Although we can easily overcome the phenomena by recruiting more employees, it is rather costly and ineffective. Therefore, the idea of a Navigation Device Based on a Line and Marks is proposed to overcome this issue. This report describes a research on building a prototype for the Navigation Device Based on a Line and Marks by using Arduino to see whether it can perform efficiently to complete the simple actions. Its functions include moving on the black line, stop at the destination non-black mark, and to detect obstacles. The project uses sensors as the input, microcontroller as the controller unit, and actuators as the output to perform the functions. In the end, the end user can use the black line as the path to control the movement direction for the prototype and also use the non-black color landmark as the point to note the prototype when to stop. Besides, it can automatically detect the obstacles. The analysis result and recommendation for future improvements also are discussed Overall, this project has achieved its objectives and the prototype is able to perform the simple actions efficiency and effectiveness as a helper to help the human being.
