Synthesis of Aspirin-Thiourea Derivatives and Their Antibacterial Activities

A series of aspirin-thiourea derivatives 18-21 were synthesised by reacting acetylsalicyloyl chloride with KSCN to produce acetoxybenzoyl isothiocyanate, following with 2,3-d imethylaniline, 2,4-dimethylaniline, 2,5-dimethylaniline and 2,6-dimethylaniline respectively. The synthesised compounds were...

Among the synthesised compounds, compound 21 was inactive against E. Coli while compound 20 showed good activity against E. Coli.
