Summary:Introduction. This study is to explore the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Locus of Control effects on Students' Academic Performance. Method. The sample included 180 students from the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development (FCSHD) in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). The respondents were from 3 programs which includes Cognitive Science, Human Resources Development and Counselling. The method used to test the relationship is Pearson Correlation, whereas to test for mediator effects Smart PLS using bootstrapping method was used. Results. Results of the study shown that Emotional Intelligence have significant relationship with Students' Academic Performance which indicate that Emotional Intelligence gives effect towards Students' Academic Performance. Conclusion. Some factors in Emotional Intelligence and Locus of Control effects the Academic performance while some are not. Futhermore, Students' Satistaction only mediate the relationship of Emotional Intelligence. It does not mediate the relationship of Demographic Attributes and Locus of Control towards Academic Performance.
