Desmosine, an artefact alkaloid from Desmos dumosus
The alkaloid, desmosine, an artefact resulting probably from the action of NH4OH on a flavone, was isolated from the bark of Desmos dumosus. Its structure was elucidated by 2D NMR experiments.
