Summary:Consuming vegetables for our daily routine life are good for our health benefits. Veggies contain a lot of vitamins, and it can boost up our mind. There are variety of veggies that can be eaten without cook it first. Traditionally, vegetables are cut using knife. The main problem with using knife is it is not safe to be used by children, often time consuming in case of mass production restaurant and energy consuming. For a large-scale business, the available vegetable cutters in the market are literally bulky, which is space consuming and expensive. Therefore, this project aimed to design and fabricate a vegetable cutting machine that is portable, affordable, and able to deliver the purpose; which is cutting the vegetable efficiently and less time consuming. Safety is one of the main features that the project aimed to equipped with, so that the proposed machine can be used by all, children includes. The mechanism employs in this machine is similar to the working principle and mechanism in piston. The machine designed is composed of shafts, belts and chains connected to each other to push the vegetable from above down to the collector base below.
