Summary: | Vocabulary and the lack of possession of it, can seriously deter one’s ability to master a second language.Thus,teachers of ESL must learn how best to impart vocabulary knowledge to their students. The main aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using game in teaching and learning vocabulary. 30 students of the Year 3 primary school students have been choosen as the respondents of this research. The instruments used are questionnaires, pre-test and post-test test. The data were analyzed using percentage. The finding shows that teachers are aware of the importance of vocabulary to be taught among the students. By using games activities, more or less it will help the students to improve their language skills. This research clearly showed and proof that the role of game in teaching and learning is effective to the students and has successfully help the students in improving their vocabulary knowledge. |
