Summary:One of the most challenging careers in the world is teaching. Teachers, young and old, deliver the tasks and commitment as a teacher since the day they get posted until the last day of retirement. On average, school teachers in Malaysia serve for 25-30 years before they can call it a day and retire. In the teaching profession, educators at large, play their roles as early years of learning, teaching at pre-school, primary and secondary schools until the tertiary levels. This profession requires more than just the content of subjects matters but also the teaching skills. As an expert in the subject areas, one can only make learning more meaningful when the delivery is effective. It is the art of teaching that provides the creativity aspect of teaching methodology. So, not just anyone can teach. Trained and experienced teachers know how to deliver the content to various types of students from the challenging to the gifted ones. They are the experts who know the right techniques from the varieties of teaching strategies based on the needs of their students. It is ‘the privilege’ that a teacher earn as an educator. It is challenging to teach in today’s society. The expectations are enormous be it, coming from students, parents and the society. The demands from the stakeholders can be overwhelming considering the different needs of the colorful kinds of students in this millennial. No doubt, the Ministry of Education is keeping up with the current development on Education around the world in order to be at par with the world standard. The directives and expectations are translated in the curriculum and transferred to the school community to deliver. Thus, teachers play the important roles to follow through the educational transformations.
