Hence, this project titled “Advisee-advisor Online Communication Platform” is developed and serves to improve the existing academic advising system of UTAR by increasing the effectiveness of advisee-advisor communication and provide an alternative way to ease the communication between advisee and advisor by implementing various functionalities, including chatbot replies and analysis, calendar events, booking of meetings, and CGPA calculator and target CGPA calculator. This project is done based on Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, and it includes 4 phases, which are the requirements planning phase, user design, construction and feedback phase, and lastly the finalise product and implementation phase. For this project’s website development, it is built using HTML, CSS and JavaScript for front-end, and Node.js for server-side.
