Description
Summary:The increasing demand of energy and environmental problem due to the burning of fossil fuel has triggered the interest of using biomass fuel for energy generation. One of the potential biomass feedstock that is viable for solid fuel is poultry processing dewatered sludge (PPDS), origins from poultry slaughterhouse and processing industry. This waste is abundant and if not disposed in a proper manner may be harmful to the environment. The feasible option to solve the disposal problem is by converting PPDS into energy through thermochemical conversion (TCC) process. In order to propose PPDS for solid fuel in TCC application, the study in a lab scale concerning PPDS fuel characteristic, thermal degradation behavior and kinetic analysis are necessary. This can be successfully done by using thermogravirnetric analysis (TGA).
