Therefore, it is necessary to determine the toxicity of the ILs on fish when the impact of the ILs on the aquatic environment is evaluated. The acute toxicity of imidazolium and ammonium ILs was evaluated against a freshwater organism: Guppy fish, Poecilia reticulata.
