The transition of Chinaâs investment-led economy into a more inclusive productivity-led economy has placed prominence on the deployment of sustainable development activities. While contemplating investment in China, circular economy (CE) and carbon-emission neutrality drive (net zero) represent a synergistic sustainable development focus that any investors need to be aware of. Companies need to understand better the potential Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) benefits that a Circular Economy Framework can contribute toward meeting global investment and business development trends (including China). Apart from Circular Economy Framework for Regenerative Agriculture, the Circular Economy framework is generally applicable across most business sectors, and it represents tremendous growth potential. Investors need to consider these critical ESG elements in business development and investment risk profiling in a government-led economy. © The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.
