要約:LAMEE is an indirect contact air dehumidifier, and it also works as a solution regenerator.It has resolved carry over problem of desiccant solution by using a semi-permeable membrane which is permeable to water vapours only.A numerical model of cross flow configuration LAMEE has been made for investigating its performance under Malaysian and Pakistani weather conditions.In this model, desiccant solution concentration has varied from 40 to 50, and inlet humidity ratio of air is increased twice and thrice for observing the effect on sensible as well as latent effectiveness.With desiccant solution concentration 50 increases latent effectiveness by 8.4, while doubling inlet humidity ratio of air enhances latent effectiveness by 1.7 under Malaysian weather condition.In contrast, latent effectiveness is increased by 2.3 with 50 solution concentration and 1.24 by doubling inlet air humidity ratio under Pakistani weather condition.Sensible effectiveness does not vary significantly in all cases. © 2023, Institute of Technology PETRONAS Sdn Bhd.
