Description
Summary:The engineering concepts behind carbon capture have improved much in recent decades. This chapter presents a systematic analysis of the developments in the fields of process design, simulation, and process control related to carbon capture. It discusses various thermodynamic and kinetic models, and simulation approaches used to improve the design of carbon capture technologies. Process control, process intensification, and process design strategies are presented in a forward chronological format. Recent developments are supported by case studies, critical reviews, and tabulated summaries, and the chapter discusses issues/challenges faced and the possible directions of future development for the research areas mentioned above.
