Summary:This study aims to explore traditional designs, motifs and weaves and methods that are relevant and can be done subtly for local and global markets. This study is using a qualitative method made through interviews to find out directly and indirectly related to the general views of the community from various walks of life about the situation or acceptance of traditional Kedah clothes in the current situation. In-depth study of the motifs and fabric materials to be produced for market suitability. The results of this study have found knowledge in terms of new design songket characterized by Sintok environment and other values, Kedah state. In the meantime, the production of this songket product has high potential in the local and international markets. Sintok motifs are used in the production of songket
