Summary:This study aims to investigate students' perception of domestic waste management in UUM student residential halls. Improper management of domestic waste disposal poses a threat to students' health and the environment. There is no proper system for segregating or recycling garbage at UUM Student Residential Halls, thus students are left to deal with huge piles of garbage. Objectives for this paper are to identify about waste management level among students and to identify the level of awareness among students towards domestic waste management. The solid waste management system is defined as effective and orderly management in handling solid materials to be discarded so as not to disturb the wellbeing and harmony of other living on the earth. Survey with a quantitative approach through a questionnaire to the 101 UUM students. The analysis is performed with SPSS version 25. The result shows that the waste management level and level of awareness among students' towards domestic waste management is weak. UUM needs to supply sufficient recycling bins and provide a talk on domestic waste and its threat to students' health and the environment.
