Summary:This article examines the literature on digital games in regard to its positive potential for memory disorder patients in psychotherapy intervention. Utilising the available technology, digital games are replacing the traditional board games while it offers considerable functionality advantages. Extensive literature review has been done and its overview is based on digitalized serious games, memory disorder, and psychotherapy. Little is known about the impact of digitalized serious games to reverse age-related erceptual and cognitive decline as the assistive technologies for memory disorder related diseases remain complex. The results revealed that serious games show promising enhancement in cognition, coordination and behavioural of memory disorder patients. Serious games also can motivate patients during therapies and be explores in health care to improve disease’s prevention, rehabilitation and education proposes. This implies that digitalized serious games can be incorporated widely in psychotherapy-intervention in many domains especially in improving the quality of life of people with cognitive limitation.
