Industrial Management Poor individual performance of managers is one of the critical factors that hinder the growth and competitiveness of firms, which has been a challenge to both private and public sectors of Nigeria. In compatibility, the poor performance and failure rate for Nigerian Medium Enterprises is very alarming. These therefore, necessitates the devotion of researchers and practitioners alike. This study used the quantitative survey method to propose that, intrapreneurial behavior and psychological safety may remedy these problems by enhancing the individual performance of managers. Studies on the intrapreneurial behavior, psychological safety and individual performance relationship has been specifically limited especially in the African context and medium enterprises. Precisely, no study was found to use these variables in a single framework. The result of regression analysis revealed that intrapreneurial behavior positively predicts the individual performance of production/operation managers, surprisingly the psychological safety construct is negatively significant. Study contributions, implications and future study suggestions has been discussed in the paper.
