Sanitary engineering Sustainable Solid Waste Management is to fulfill the goal of recovery of valuable products from waste with the use of less energy.As Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) population increase, the solid waste that collected also increases.Thus, the waste must be managed systematically to ensure environment UUM is clean and safe for UUM community.The study is conducted in qualitative and quantitative research methods.The main method in this research is the qualitative study when the interview session with Maintenance and Development Department (JPP) staff about the understanding of 3R .While the quantitative research is used to create a set of questionnaire for guideline for students. So, from the quantitative research can obtain opinion, attitudes and behaviours among UUM students.
