Malaysia practices the policy of free cyberspace but still, there are many mechanisms to restrict political speech online. Some restriction are justifiable such us on pornography and hate speech. There is a concern that the government restricts more that it should be.Ultimately, freedom of the internet is crucial for a more democratic Malaysia.
