A quantitative method was utilized and 383 female nurses were involved.The Job Descriptive Index (JDI) by Smith, Kendall and Hulin (1969) and the Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory: Short (EQ-i:S) by Bar-On (1997) were used.The results showed that the majority of respondents had moderate levels of job satisfaction and emotional intelligence; and there were significant correlations between these two variables.
