Summary:The main concern of this paper is discussing about the significant of river infrastructure development as an in-situ tourism attributes.The role of river development was to facilitate future development of a river in a way they can preserve and conserve the river environment naturally. However, since the river areas was one of the most valuable assets in sustaining urban development, the infrastructure have to be designed to mitigate the natural functions of river and have be formulated as a domain useable sculptures and where by functioning as one of attributes in the local tourism products. Therefore emphasis must be given by the local authorities in managing urban-river water management into river based infrastructure development plans in order to promote river-based infrastructure design as a tourism products.The discussions in this paper also explain the country‘s experience as a case study, outlines development of urban water management and the efforts by respective authorities towards preparing integrated water management in the country.
