Description
Summary:This study aims at identifying the long-run relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI), domestic investment (DI), and government expenditure towards the economic growth of Sabah and Sarawak.Cointegression unit border test or auto regresssion dispersed lag (ARDL) was used to ensure the existence of a long-run relationship between the various variables. The study findings showed a clear long%run relationship between the independent and the dependent variables. The estimated long%run coefficient showed that only the government development expenditure variable has a positive and significant relationship towards economic growth.Conversely, FDI and DI showed positive but not significant relationship towards the economic growth of Sabah and Sarawak.
