الملخص:Over the past two decades, competitive intelligence (CI) has grown from a small area of interest into an internationally recognized and practiced information management discipline. CI is a process of knowing what the competitors are up to and staying one step ahead of them (Ettore,1995). In Malaysia, there is not much research conducted with regard to the practice of CI in supporting the organization success. This paper deeply investigates the practice of CI by using a systematic survey on selected GLC organizations. The research found that most of the companies practiced competitive intelligence strategies for decision making and marketing strategies.CI was used to gather information about the competitors’ prices, products developments and customer services.
