However, the performance of the Islamic banks was fluctuated. The main objective of this study is to understand and determine the impact of macroeconomic factors on Islamic banks’ performance in Malaysia. the impact of gross domestic product (GDP), Inflation (INF), Exchange rate (EXR), Unemployment rate (UNR), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Interest Rate (IR) was determined from year 2009 to the year 2019. The secondary data was obtained from World Development Bank Indicator, Fitch Connect database and annual report. The collected data was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26, Stata version 16 and EVIEWS version 10. The pooled EGLS regression technique was adopted to measure the impact of each variable on Islamic banks’ performance. The finding revealed that GDP and UNR have significant and positive and EXR is significant and negative impact on performance. The finding further revealed that GDP, UNR and EXR were the least significant determinants of performance. This study has vigorously contributed in the existing literature of single country analysis of Islamic banks particularly in the context of Malaysia. 2020 Thesis NonPeerReviewed text en https://etd.uum.edu.my/9848/1/s826054_01.pdf text en https://etd.uum.edu.my/9848/2/s826054_02.pdf text en https://etd.uum.edu.my/9848/3/s826054_references.docx Aini Nura'adilah, Abdul Hadi (2020) The impact of macroeconomic factors on Islamic banks’ performance in Malaysia.
