Summary:Person-environment fit is one of the important parts that influence someone behaviour to achieve their career success in workplace. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between person-environment fit and career success among teachers in Penang, Malaysia. Teachers or educators from Penang of Malaysia were surveyed to evaluate their preferences for specific variables of person-job fit, person-organization fit, person-group fit and person-supervisor fit. The actual data was collected from the questionnaires that distributed among the teachers. 109 teachers have participated in this research. The hypothesized relationships between the variables were investigated based on the information obtained from the standard questionnaires whose validity and reliability had been verified in advance. Data analysis include descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis performed in the SPSS. Results show that there are relationship between person-job fit, person-organization fit, person-group fit and person-supervisor with career success. Implications of the results for individual and environment are discussed.
