Summary:Safety management practices and safety awareness play the vital role for safety culture development at the workplace. This study aims to test the relationship between safety management practice and safety awareness. This quantitative approach involved 138 respondents where questionnaire distributed to Assistant Medical Officer (AMO), who are attach with Sultanah Aminah Hospital Johor Bahru. Statistic package for social science (SPSS) verse 23 was apply for data analysis. Descriptive analysis show that the level of safety management practice is moderate while the level of safety awareness among AMO at the high level. Analysis correlation and regression revealed that management commitment, safety training and employee involvement have significant relationship. Thus for implementing occupational safety programme and safety culture activities, the employee need to emphasize the element of employee commitment, safety training and management commitment for increasing safety awareness among the employee at HSAJB. This study also discusses the finding of research, limitation of study and suggestion for future study.
