knowledge workers as well as to analyse the relationship between education and the supply of knowledgeable labour force. This research takes the form of a library research using secondary data collected from various sources and information from related agencies. Labour market analysis showed the low supply and demand for knowledge workers compared to other developed nations. The shift to an
ICT based system of education forms a strong basis in moulding an information society which is a prerequisite for development of knowledge based economy.
