Summary:The purpose of this study is to investigate the influences of appraisal elements towards conflict in performance appraisal among soldiers stationed in Perlis. The first specific objective is to identify the differences of conflict in performance appraisal based on demographic factors. The second objective is to identify the influences of element of performance appraisal to the conflict in performance appraisal. The third objective is to identify the correlation between appraisal elements towards conflict in performance appraisal. The final objective is to identify the perception of implementation 360-degree feedback in the army. This research involved 260 soldiers as respondents. All data are analysed using t-test, ANOVA, regression and correlation analysis. The result shows that there are close influence and correlation between performance appraisal elements towards conflict in performances appraisal. Based on the findings, some suggestions are given to avoid future conflict in performance appraisal.
