Summary: | This research is intended to identify the level of work satisfaction in the Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH), Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. The
independent variables which were identified through literature review had been grouped into demographic factor and the six job satisfaction dimensions. Demographic factor includes sex, age, occupation's grade, length of service, education level, pay and type of job performed whilst the job satisfaction dimensions were the job itself, promotion opportunity, work environment, pay, coworkers relationship and supervision. The dependent variable was job satisfaction from the perception of JPPH members. Questionnaires were used as an instrument
and distributed to 184 respondents from JPPH, of which 148 (80.43%) were completed and returned. The data were processed using SPSS software. The analysis comprised of descriptive analysis, correlation, T-Test and ANOVA. The
main findings of the correlation analysis depicted that there were positive and negative relationships between the independent and dependent variables. The highest coefficient of 0.336 was for supervision and the lowest was -0.022 for work environment. Only co-worker and supervision were significantly related to the dependent variable. The findings of the research will provide feedback to the management pertaining to job satisfaction amongst members of JPPH at present and will be of good indicators to facilitate the improvement of members' job
satisfaction. |
