Summary:The effectiveness of training is often seen as a measure of the work performance and organizational productivity. The training program which has a training framework and a clear task-related training aim is to encourage employees to learn new skills and knowledge. Overall, this study is conducted to examine the extent to which the motivation of work on the elements of the training program and the effectiveness of the training. This study is a quantitative study using questionnaire which involves a sample of 103 school assistant administrators in Daerah Kubang Pasu, Kedah. The findings show that work motivation as an intervening variable has a significant relationship between the training program elements and the effectiveness of the training. The results of this study allow KPM, JPN and PPD Kubang Pasu to make improvements to training programs to increase employees’ motivation to attend training programs and achieve training objectives in order to perform their duties more effectively.
