Summary:The purpose of this study is to identify entrepreneurship inclination among Commerce Department's academic staffs at Ministry of Education's Polytechnics. Ten Polytechnics were chosen and three hundred and two academic staffs were selected as respondents. The study was conducted using questionnaire as an instrument by which all respondents at respective Polytechnics were given a set of questionnaire through their Head of Deparment. The response rate was 65 %. Data collected from this study was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program. Results of study show that entrepreneurship inclination among academic staffs of Commerce Department at selected Polytechnics were low. Factors such as monthly income, education level, age, role model, business experiences and entrepreneurship courses attended were taken as independent variables. Out of these six factors, role model and education level were identified to have influenced the respondent inclination toward entrepreneurship. Low level of entrepreneurship. Low level of entrepreneurship inclination among the staff might have been influenced by rules and regulations as specified in the General Orders which prohibit government servants doing part time jobs.
