Summary:This research aims to observe the relationship between student's psychososial aspect and achievement in Geography subject at school level examinatios of government secondary school in the district of Bau, Sarawak. Other than that, this research also aims to observe the difference in student's psychosocial aspects based on the factor of gender. The dimensions in psychososial consist of the student (in term of behaviour), family, geogarphy teacher, peers and prior knowledge that contribute to the achievement in Geography at school level examinations of government secondary schools in the district of Bau. The research is a cross sectional survey that basing on questionaire item is distributed to the respondens. A total of 169 students who are taking the subject Geography from Form One to Form Five of government secondary school in the district of Bau, Sarawak were chosen as the research sample. The research instrument is a set of questionaire which consists of two section, Section A correlates with the demograpic information and student's achievement in examinations and Section B bears the aspect of student's psychosocial. The colleted data will be analysed with the software of Stastical Packages For Social Sciences (SPSS-version 14). The finding of the research indicates that there is a significant relationship between the psychosocial with achievement in Geography. This shows that, the students who passess a high psychosocial aspect imply a high achievement in Geography. There is also a positive and significant difference between psychosocial aspect based on gender. This show that, female students represent a high level psychosocial aspect compared to male students. Thus, the school administrators and teachers must focus and make consideration toward programmes that could help the students to boost their level of psychosocial in order to increase a high achievement in Geography. The aspect of gender is also part that should be focused on order to increase the level of psychosocial aspect among students at Malaysia's government secondary schools
