Summary: | Retaining employees in the organization for as long as possible is one of the recruitment objectives. This is because turnover has a negative impact on the organization especially on prductivity, service and profitability. Since employee is the most important asset to organization, finding the best strategy to retain them is very
important. Therefore, this study is conducted with the intention to capture factors that might influence intention to stay among auxiliary police. The study examines the direct relationship between ethical leadership, monetary reward, career opportunity and
intention to stay. A total of 274 questionnaire were distributed to auxiliary police through online survey using Google form. Response rate was 100%. In this study, hypotheses for direct effect were tested using multiple regression analyses. Results showed that ethical leadership and career opportunity were significantly positively related to intention to stay. The findings indicate that by having ethical leadership who demonstrate transparency in their actions and decisions in the organization able to motivate people to remain with the organization. Similarly, providing the employees
with more career opportunity seems motivate them to stay with the organization. |
