Summary:The study of language politeness practices according to the perspective of Islam is still under-conducted while Islam provides a complete approach that is different from the approach built by Western scholars. This study highlights the politeness concept and approach according to the Islamic perspective including position, purpose, content and method. This study aims to identify the level of politeness language practice of Islamic Education Teachers, the level of students' moral appreciation and the relationship between the two. This study uses qualitative and quantitative methods. Tafsir Mawdu'iy is used to identify the politeness concept and approach according to the Qur'an. Regression and inference analysis was used to identify the level of Islamic Education Teachers' language politeness practices, the level of students' moral appreciation and the correlation between the two. Inferential analysis is used to identify the influence of the teacher's politeness practices on the students' moral appreciation. The study found that six main approaches of politeness according to the verses of the Quran, namely Qaulan Sadida, Qaulan Ma'rufa, Qaulan Karima, Qaulan Baligha, Qaulan Maysura and Qaulan Layyina. The findings show that 74.8% students put the level of the teacher's politeness language practice at a high level, 24.8% put it at a medium level, only 0.5% put it at a low level. 88.7% of students are at a high level of moral appreciation, while only 11.3% are at a medium level. Findings show that there is a significant relationship between the teacher's language politeness practices and students' moral appreciation. Qaulan Sadida is a major contributor to students' moral appreciation. This study can be used as a reference for the analysis of Hadith and religious texts in addition to being used as a starting point for the formation of a study model of politeness in the language of education and society.
