Summary:Nowadays, people have some difficulties in controlling their spending due to several reasons. Some of them desperate to follow the current cost of living which increases day by day. They need help to solve their financial issues and probably need to lend money from a bank or financial institution to support their financial needs. This research aims to investigate the determinants of individual’s intention to use Islamic personal financing among policemen in Kedah. This study measures the factors of attitude, subjective norms, and religious obligation that can influence the intentions of individuals. Samples were taken from 280 respondents who have experienced in using personal financing in Kedah. The analysis methods used in this research are T-test, analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson coefficient and multiple regression. This result of this study shows there is a significant relationship between attitude, subjective norms and religious obligation with the individual’s intention to use Islamic personal financing. Thus, this research provides useful information to the community by increasing their level of confidence towards Islamic personal financing. From this study, the researcher also suggested that bank managers might need to improve various factors such as marketing, operational and customer service to attract more customers to purchase their products. Therefore, this study provided great contributions, implications and has recommended for financial institutions on how to improve Islamic personal financing.
